Abel Cross - Neo Bop Quintet

Abel Cross’ Neo Bop Quintet arose from an invitation from Sydney’s Kinetic Jazz for the bassist to present an evening of music for their quarterly concert series. On completing the jazz course at Sydney’s Conservatorium in 2008, he had a backlog of bebop-oriented compositions, while performing original music more regularly with free-improvised and contemporary groups such as 3ofmillons, Trio Apoplectic, the Splinter Orchestra, Felucca, and the Pure Evil Trio.
