After thirty years of playing his music with ground-breaking ensembles such as Clarion Fracture Zone, Wanderlust, Australian Art Orchestra, Alister Spence Trio, Sensaround, and Kira Kira, Spence has finally dived solo into his sound-world!

Whirlpool is a solo-piano double CD of 23 short to medium-sized discrete improvised pieces. The music for this double disc was recorded at Studios 301, Sydney on October 11, 2019.
