Circle, though short-lived, was the quintessential band of the free-jazz era, always looking for new possibilities in group interplay. Circulus gathers some previously unreleased tunes recorded during the band’s prime, showcasing each of the four legends: Chick, Anthony Braxton on saxophone, Dave Holland on bass and Barry Altschul on drums.
