Dave Bartholomew and his Orchestra - The King of New Orleans R&B / 2CD set
2019 European CD collection.
Following on from the success of Jump Children!, this second collection covers the recordings made outside of Imperial Records and covers the years 1947-1952. Although never planned to be, this second volume of Dave Bartholomew recordings by Jasmine now becomes a memorial album after his passing in June 2019. It features his original recording of "My Ding A Ling" that went on to become a million seller for Chuck Berry in the early 1970s. Dave Bartholomew was one of the chief architects of New Orleans R&B and this is an essential collection for fans of the genre. Includes fully detailed liner notes.
