Divided into light and dark, with one CD of quirky cutup compositions influenced by (among many other things) cartoon music and another from Zorn’s S/M "Torture Garden" period. Both CDs conclude with different versions of Zorn’s Jewish standard Kol Nidre including the world premiere recording of his version for clarinet quartet. Beautifully produced by Dutch master musicologist Gert-Jan Blom.
