Pat's first trio album since 2000 finds the guitarist performing and composing at his usual high level. The interplay between Pat and his new trio mates Christian McBride and Antonio Sanchez is especially sympathetic, and they present a wide dynamic range from soft, subtle ballad and bossa to hard driving swing.
