Weather Report - This is This

Released in 1986, “This is This” is the 16th album by Weather Report and their last one on Columbia Records. Mastermind Joe Zawinul still had it in him to produce a good number of tracks even with Wayne Shorter leaving the band. Featuring Peter Erskine on drums, Carlos Santana‘s brutal Funk-Rock guitar on “This is This” and “Man with the Copper Fingers” and (backing-)vocals by Marva Barnes, Colleen Coil, Siedah Garre and Darryl Phinnessee.
